NanoH2O Acquired by LG ChemPrint PDF
Irell & Manella LLP represented the seller NanoH2O Inc., a manufacturer of water desalination membranes, in its acquisition by the Korean conglomerate LG Chem Ltd. for a purchase price of more than $200 million. The deal closed on April 30, 2014.
NanoH2O is a Southern California startup that was established in 2005 from research conducted at the University of California at Los Angeles. The company uses nanotechnology in its reverse osmosis membranes that lower the cost of desalination.
The team included Gregory Klein, Michael Kaplan, Kristina Holliman and Elliot Freier.
