Our representations have made significant contributions to the development of the law, including the first published California appellate decision holding that a malpractice claim against a law firm must be dismissed where, to successfully defend against the claim, the law firm would reveal privileged information. In another case, one that went to the U.S. Supreme Court, we successfully defended a major law firm in a lawsuit alleging that the firm was responsible for the unlawful conduct of its client. We recently won summary judgment for a leading international law firm where plantiffs claimed that alleged professional negligence resulted in $20 million in damages.
