Alex Young is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP. Although involved in a variety of cases, the primary focus of her practice is entertainment litigation, and she currently represents clients in the television and music industries in contract, copyright, and other disputes.
While at University of Southern California Law School, she had the honor of working as an extern for Justice Daniel A. Curry of the California Court of Appeal. Ms. Young served two years on the Southern California Law Review; the last year as Articles Editor. Additionally, her note, "The First Chink in the Armor? The Constitutionality of State Laws Burdening Judicial Candidates after Republican Party of Minnesota v. White", 77 S. Cal. L. Rev. 433 (2004), was chosen for publication. During her third year of law school, Ms. Young was a teaching assistant for University of Southern California Law School Professor George Lefcoe’s Real Estate Transactions and Real Estate Finance classes.
During her free time, Ms.Young enjoys reading, volunteering with youth, spoiling her dogs, following the local Thoroughbred circuit, and is a fanatic Blue Devil.
