Aaron H. Cole is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP, where he is a member of the litigation practice group. Mr. Cole’s practice includes complex class action litigation, as well as employment, professional negligence, and intellectual property litigation in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Irell, Mr. Cole served as law clerk to the Honorable Gary A. Feess of the United States District Court, Central District of California. While attending UCLA School of Law, Mr. Cole also served as judicial extern to the Honorable Nora M. Manella of the Central District of California.
Representative Matters
Mr. Cole represents several national quick-service restaurant companies in wage-and-hour class action lawsuits. Mr. Cole's experience in defending class actions extends from pre-certification to settlement.
Mr. Cole represents a major law firm in an action alleging legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and conflicts of interest.
Mr. Cole has an active pro bono practice, including representation of low-wage workers in association with Bet Tzedek’s Employment Rights Project
- Mr. Cole obtained an award of the entire amount claimed of $23,000 by an hourly employee seeking unpaid overtime wages and penalties for missed breaks.
- Mr. Cole, along with other Irell & Manella attorneys, obtained highly favorable settlements for nine garment workers who were seeking unpaid minimum wages and overtime.
Mr. Cole represents a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced fiber optic intrusion detection systems in a patent infringement suit.
Mr. Cole represented Tessera, Inc. in a patent infringement suit involving semiconductor chip packaging in the Northern District of California.
