William D. Bowen

William Bowen is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP, where he is a member of the firm's IP litigation group.

Mr. Bowen received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a projects editor for the Yale Law Journal and managing editor of the Yale Journal of International Law.  He earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Utah, a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University, and a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University.

Mr. Bowen is coauthor of "Giving Families a Chance: Necessary Reforms for the Adequate Representation of Connecticut's Children and Families in Child Abuse and Neglect Cases," a comprehensive report on Connecticut's system of child representation with proposals for reform in conjunction with his role as a student director of the Yale Legislative Advocacy Clinic assisting Connecticut Voices for Children.  He has also authored "Child Protection in the United States: An Overview of the System," published in China Lawyers and Children's Rights Protection, published by the Beijing Juvenile Legal Aid and Research Center. 

Mr. Bowen is fluent in spoken and written Italian, proficient in written and spoken French and Spanish, and spoken Mandarin.
