Dorette S. Feit, a partner of Irell & Manella LLP, is a resident of the firm's Los Angeles office and a member of the litigation workgroup. Ms. Feit's practice emphasizes insurance-related issues. She has represented policyholders attempting to secure insurance coverage in a variety of commercial situations. Ms. Feit's experience includes identifying and pursuing insurance coverage under policies of commercial general liability insurance, directors and officers liability insurance, and umbrella and excess liability insurance for clients that have been named as defendants in business litigation. Ms. Feit has also assisted clients in obtaining benefits under policies of fire and multi-peril insurance, business interruption and excess expense insurance, and ocean marine insurance. Her experience includes representation of clients in litigation against insurers in both state and federal court when necessary to obtain benefits.

Ms. Feit's practice also emphasizes appellate work generally. She has been involved with several major appellate matters before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal on issues ranging from unlawful advertising, copyright and trademark protection to breach of fiduciary duty by directors and officers of a major corporation to establishing the lack of insurance coverage, as a matter of law, for acts of child molestation.
