Padraic William Foran is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP, where he is a member of the firm's litigation workgroup.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 2008. He attended the London School of Economics and Political Science where he received his LL.M. with a specialization in Public Law in 2008. He received his B.A. in English, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Southern California in 2005.
Mr. Foran published Unreasonably Wrong: The Supreme Court's Supremacy, the AEDPA Standard, and Cary v. Musladin, 81 S. Cal. L. Rev. 571 (2008) and Why Human Rights Confuse the Sanctions Debate: Toward a Goal-Senstive Framework for Evaluating United Nations Security Council Sanctions, 4 Intercultural Hum. Rts. L.R. 123 (2009).
Prior to joining Irell & Manella, Mr. Foran served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Jerome Farris, U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit.
