Roxana Mehrfar is an associate in the Newport Beach office of Irell & Manella LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. Ms. Mehrfar’s practice encompasses white collar investigations, securities litigation, arbitration, general business litigation, including breach of contract and fiduciary duty disputes, and patent litigation. Her patent practice has focused primarily on clients in the computer hard disk drive industry. Additionally, Ms. Mehrfar maintains an active pro bono practice, representing victims of elder abuse and financial fraud.
Ms. Mehrfar earned her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola Law School in 2011, where she was selected Order of the Coif and served as both a Staff Member and Developments Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Mehrfar worked as a law clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, served as President of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, and assisted with pro bono adoptions for the Alliance for Children's Rights. Ms. Mehrfar earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008.
As an active member of the legal community, Ms. Mehrfar is a part of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County and the Orange County Bar Association. She is the author of Redefining Commonality for Consumer Class Actions under California Business and Professions Code Sections 17200 and 17500, 44 Loy. L.A. L. Rev. 353 (2010) and was a speaker at the annual Law Day awards ceremony in 2011.
