Philip H. Miller

Philip Miller is an entertainment and intellectual property associate in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP. He received a B.S. from the University of Vermont, summa cum laude, in 1976; an Ed.M. from Harvard University in 1980; and a J.D. from Fordham University Law School, magna cum laude, in 1993. At Fordham, Mr. Miller was an editor of the Fordham Law Review. Mr. Miller has also worked in the publishing and software industries and as a high school English teacher.

Mr. Miller is the author of Media Law for Producers, published by Focal Press; "Life After Feist: Facts, the First Amendment, and the Copyright Status of Automated Databases" and "New Technology, Old Problem: Determining the First Amendment Status of Electronic Information Systems," both published in the Fordham Law Review; and numerous other publications on media and technology law and policy.
