Juliette  Youngblood

Juliette Youngblood is chair of the entertainment practice group at Irell & Manella LLP. Specializing in entertainment and intellectual property matters in the motion picture, television, mobile media and advertising industries, Ms. Youngblood represents a wide variety of entertainment companies in all matters related to the development, production, financing and distribution of motion pictures, television productions, online and wireless content and integrated marketing campaigns. Ms. Youngblood has extensive experience in rights acquisition, the development of theatrical and television motion pictures, original online and wireless content and represents a number of studios such as Paramount Pictures Corporation, MTV, MGM, Nickelodeon and LucasFilm in connection with such matters. She also works extensively in the reality tv arena on such shows as The Apprentice, Survivor, Contender and Rockstar for Mark Burnett Productions, Inc.

Ms. Youngblood has extensive experience in connection with promotion marketing campaigns, including sweepstakes, contests, tie-ins and websites. Her work in this area includes evaluation and recommendation of legal strategies for advertising and promotional programs utilizing the Internet.

Ms. Youngblood is recognized in the industry as a resourceful and innovative lawyer. She has been instrumental in assisting her clients in launching strategic initiatives that expand their business and their brands. Ms. Youngblood has been repeatedly acknowledged as a leading media and entertainment transactional lawyer by Chambers & Partners, most recently in its internationally recognized publication, 2008 Chambers USA Leading Lawyers for Business Guide, and has been named one of the leading lawyers in America by Lawdragon and by The Legal 500 US guide. Ms. Youngblood has been named in Who's Who in American Law, Guide to the World's Leading Technology, Media & Telecommunications Lawyers, has been recognized by The American Lawyer as an expert in reality television, has been named to the Southern California "Super Lawyers" list by Los Angeles Magazine and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for entertainment law.  Ms. Youngblood received a 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award from Loyola Law School.

Member of the planning committee for the University of Southern California Law School – Beverly Hills Bar Association Institute on Entertainment Law and Business, member of the Museum of Radio and Television Beverly Hills Roundtable Group comprised of the entertainment industry's top representatives, member of the Los Angeles Copyright Society and Women in Film.
