Yanan Zhao is a litigation associate. Prior to joining Irell, she worked at a New York firm, where her practice included intellectual property, commercial litigation, restructuring and criminal matters.

Yanan served as a law clerk for Hon. Lee H. Rosenthal of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She earned her J.D. at the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a member of Chancellors and Order of the Coif, and her LL.B. from Shandong University School of Law in China. Yanan passed the Chinese bar exam in 2014.

Yanan is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
