Elliot Brown Named Managing PartnerPrint PDF
Irell & Manella LLP has unanimously elected Elliot Brown as its Managing Partner. Mr. Brown succeeds David Siegel, who steps down due to term limits after serving two three-year terms as Managing Partner. Mr. Siegel will continue to practice full-time as head of Irell's securities litigation group. Mr. Brown will work closely with Andra Greene, the Managing Partner of the firm's Orange County office. Mr. Brown will continue his full-time litigation practice.
Mr. Brown specializes in intellectual property litigation and counseling. He has received various professional accolades including being named in 2008 as one of top ten copyright lawyers in California by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of intellectual property and in Southern California Super Lawyers in the field of intellectual property litigation.
Mr. Brown joined Irell & Manella after graduating from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, where he served as an Editor on the Harvard Law Review with President Barack Obama. Mr. Brown subsequently was a law clerk to the Honorable Pierre N. Leval, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York
Mr. Brown attended Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his M.A. in Philosophy at Princeton, where he was a Mellon Fellow in the Humanities. He has lectured on intellectual property matters at ABA seminars, Copyright Society of the USA and Los Angeles Copyright Society meetings, and at UCLA and USC law schools. Mr. Brown currently sits on the board of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
