David Schwarz Named Program Affiliate Scholar at NYU School of Law’s Classical Liberal Institute
David Schwarz has been named as a 2018-2019 Program Affiliate Scholar at New York University School of Law’s Classical Liberal Institute (CLI), where he will continue to focus his research on U.S. constitutional law and legal history with a special emphasis on separation of powers issues. Founded in 2013, CLI is dedicated to the multi-disciplinary study of classical political theory. A speaker at prior CLI symposia, David discussed First Amendment and labor law issues at the 2017 conference on “Freedom versus Fairness?: The Tension between Free Market and Populist Ideals in Labor." He is the author of “Compelled Consent: Wolff Packing and the Constitutionality of Compulsory Arbitration,” published in January 2019 in the NYU Journal of Law and Liberty.
David is currently the only “non-academic” to be chosen by CLI as one of its program affiliate scholars.
