Irell & Manella Receives Recognition from The American Lawyer, Chambers & Partners, and Legal 500

July 2009 -- Irell & Manella LLP received top rankings this month from three diverse groups that rank law firms:

The American Lawyer named Irell to its 2009 "A-List" of the top twenty law firms in the country based on metrics including diversity, revenue, lawyer satisfaction, and pro bono commitment. 

Chambers & Partners gave high rankings to Irell lawyers in the following practice areas:  Bankruptcy, Intellectual Property, Securities, White Collar Crime & Government Investigations, Media & Entertainment, and Tax. 

Irell's IP Litigation group was described by Chambers as "phenomenal" and in the top tier nationally.  Irell's Entertainment Litigation group was moved to the top tier in California this year, with the observation that the group demonstrates "superb written work and trial skills." Irell's White-Collar group was described as having "powerful trial lawyers." Irell bankruptcy lawyers were described as "aggressive, intelligent, intuitive, and fast-moving." 

Legal 500 recognized Irell's strengths in patent litigation, entertainment, technology, lending, mergers and acquisitions, and tax.  Irell is "top to bottom, the best patent litigation practice in the county," according to comments to Legal 500.  Irell entertainment, litigation and transactional lawyers are described by Legal 500 as "highly respected" throughout the entertainment industry.
