NewsIrell Named Law360 Technology Practice Group of the Year
Irell & Manella LLP was recognized by Law360 with a 2022 Technology Practice of the Year award, honoring the firm’s string of recent victories in the field. Irell was one of only five firms nationally to be selected in the Technology category. Practice Group of the Year awards single out firms that have played a pivotal role in landmark matters and have shown general excellence.
Law360 noted that Irell’s recent victories include securing a $2.3 billion final judgment for VLSI Technology in a patent trial against Intel involving microprocessor technology, and a $218.45 million jury verdict for USAA in a suit against PNC Bank relating to remote check deposit technology. The firm also persuaded the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to affirm the dismissal with prejudice of an antitrust suit against PanOptis involving LTE technology, the publication noted.
