01.2021

Annita Zhong was recognized as one of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 “Minority Leaders of Influence: Attorneys.” The list singles out 95 Los Angeles-area minority attorneys who are considered particularly impactful on the legal scene and maintain the highest professional and ethical standards.

Annita has recently racked up several significant wins, including serving as a principal member of the team that scored a $506.2 million jury award for PanOptis in infringement litigation against Apple. In a separate case on behalf of PanOptis, she was a principal member of the team that persuaded a judge to dismiss with prejudice an antitrust and unfair competition suit filed by Continental Automotive Systems involving licensing practices for patents covering cellular technology.

Annita’s work also includes serving as lead inter partes review (IPR) counsel for Fundamental Innovation Systems International LLC, successfully defending 29 IPRs filed by four major handset manufacturers. Additionally, she led the defense of a large cellular standard essential patent portfolio in China that involved 28 contested proceedings before the Chinese Intellectual Property Office and anti-FRAND and antitrust claims in the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court.
