Chengming “Ben” Liu is an associate in the Litigation group. While earning his J.D. from George Washington University Law School, Ben served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Kathleen M. O’Malley of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. During law school, he received the Peter D. Rosenberg Prize in Patent and Intellectual Property Law, which is presented to the graduating J.D. who has demonstrated the highest overall excellence in patent and IP law studies. He also earned pro bono honors, and worked as an associate on the Federal Communications Law Journal.

Ben earned his M.A., with merit, in International Political Economy from King’s College London. He obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences, Materials Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ben is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
