Irell Captures Pair of Daily Journal Top Verdicts Honors

The Daily Journal recognized Irell & Manella LLP with two 2021 “Top Verdicts” of California awards, one in each of the plaintiff and defense categories. The publication highlighted the firm’s $48 million jury verdict for the City of Pomona in an environmental suit against SQM North America as one of the state’s 10 largest plaintiffs’ verdicts last year.

Irell’s victory on behalf of Fortress, in which the firm secured a complete dismissal of antitrust litigation brought by Intel, was selected as one of the Daily Journal's 20 top defense verdicts.

The Irell team representing the City of Pomona included Jason Sheasby and Lisa Glasser. Co-counsel was SL Environmental Law Group.

The Irell team representing Fortress included Matt Ashley, Morgan Chu, Ben Hattenbach, Michael Harbour and Lucas Oxenford.
